  • BMW Service Folsom

BMWs have a different service schedule based on the year and model of the vehicle. At Angelo's, our Folsom BMW technicians will analyze your vehicle and determine what items are due to serviced or replaced. Below is a generalized breakdown of the service schedule for a typical BMW, but each car differs according to the year, model, mileage, and the driver. Angelo's Performance Plus always uses the highest-quality OEM original equipment when servicing your car. Call us today to discuss your BMW service needs. BMW Synthetic Oil Change and Filter Replacement We recommend the use of synthetic oil for most of their vehicles. In newer BMWs, the CBS (Computer Based System) on your dash will alert you when its time to change the oil-typically every 7,500 miles. This figure is lower in older models. If you don't drive your car very often, you still need to change your oil at least once per year, as the oil will break down over time. When you have your BMW oil change performed at Angelo's, we'll let you know ahead of time when you'll be due for another oil service. We always follow BMW's specifications for oil and filters and type to determine what should be used for your year and model, so you can be secure in knowing that your car will continue to operate at peak performance. Automatic Transmission Flush We know that you care about your car, and like you, we want it to run as perfectly as it did the day you purchased it. One of the most sensitive and important pieces of equipment in your car is the transmission, which is what allows your car to change gears. Transmissions take a lot of abuse over time, but can continue to work smoothly for many years as long as they are properly cared for and maintained. A great way to maximize the lifespan of your transmission is by scheduling a transmission flush at Angelo's for your BMW-typically, you want to flush the transmission every 40,000 to 60,000 miles. When we flush a transmission, we remove the old transmission fluid and flush it with cleaning fluid, which removes dirt, grime, and other contaminants that can build up over time. We then remove the pan and check it for any signs of wear, and clean out any gunk that has settled on it. Lastly, we replace the filter and fill your transmission up with clean, fresh fluid. BMW Air Filters and Cabin Filters At Angelo's, we always check to make sure that your air and cabin filters are clean and operating as they should be. Air filters are incredibly important when it comes to ensuring that your engine runs at peak performance and gets good gas mileage, while cabin filters keep the air in the cabin of your car clean and free from particulates and other irritants. We'll let you know when they're due to be replaced. BMW Brakes and Brake Fluid Your brake fluid should be changed at least every two years, but if you drive a newer BMW, your CBS will tell you when you're due. Changing your brake fluid on a regular basis regardless of how much you drive is important for a key reason: brake fluid breaks down over time, and causes your brakes to work less effectively. When brake fluid is replaced as needed, your brakes will wear evenly and last much longer. Additionally, water absorbed by the brake fluid can cause corrosion throughout your BMW's brake system, further degrading your car's ability to brake effectively. It's wise to bring your BMW into Angelo's on a regular basis, so that we can check the fluid, as well as the condition of the brakes. We'll make sure that everything is in proper working order, and tell you when the brakes and/or brake fluid need to be replaced. BMW Spark Plugs The lifespan of spark plugs depends upon the quality of the spark plug, as well as the material it's made out of. Angelo's will check your spark plugs when repairing your BMW or diagnosing a problem. Typically, we replace spark plugs every 40,000 to 60,000 miles. BMW Fuel Filter Replacement In older BMWs, fuel filters should be replaced every 60,000 miles or so-though this can vary, depending on BMW's recommendation-or when your fuel pump is replaced. Angelo's always uses the OEM filters that are recommended by BMW for your year and model. In newer BMWs, the fuel filter is only replaced when there is evidence of breakdown or malfunction. BMW Belts and Tensioners Your BMW belts should be checked over on a regular basis. What our technicians look for are signs of wear or cracking in the rubber of the belt. Exposure to dry climates can dramatically shorten the lifespan of a BMW timing belt. Also, rubber tends to harden if it sits for long periods of time, so if your vehicle has been sitting in the garage undisturbed for quite some time, have the belts checked over immediately. In daily use vehicles, timing belts are usually replaced every 30 to 60 thousand miles, but for the reasons mentioned above, this figure can vary widely.

  • Mercedes-Benz Service in Folsom

Mercedes-Benz Service Schedule Mercedes-Benz Service in Folsom - Angelo's Performance Plus The service schedule for your Mercedes will vary, depending on the year, model, Service A-H, the on-board computer diagnosis, and the wear caused by the driver. If in doubt, drop by Angelo's or schedule a visit so we can perform a diagnostic check using our state-of-the-art equipment. Angelo's Performance Plus always uses high-quality OEM original equipment when servicing your car. Call us today to discuss your Mercedes service needs. Mercedes Oil Change and Oil Filter Replacement Due to the fact that the technology used by Mercedes in its cars has changed over time, there's no one set answer to the question of "What oil should I use in my Mercedes." For the same reason, there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to determining how often to change your oil. The answers to these questions vary according to model and model year of your car, so it's best to speak to one of the technicians at Angelo's to guarantee a long lifespan for your Mercedes. Mercedes Air Filter Replacement As with just about every car on the road, the filters in your Mercedes are some of the least expensive parts you'll ever have replaced. But they're critically important, and can seriously impact performance and gas mileage if not replaced on a regular basis. Talk to your local Angelo's service technician to find out if your air filter is due for replacement. Mercedes Brakes and Brake Fluid Brake fluid and brakes are critical to the operation of your Mercedes, as well as the safety of you and your passengers. Because of this, your car should be checked on a regular basis. Ensuring that your brake fluid is changed when necessary will result in your brakes wearing more evenly and lasting longer, saving you money in the long run. Bring your car into our shop, and we'll make sure that your brakes and fluid are in tip-top shape, and let you know when they're due for replacement. Mercedes Spark Plugs Spark plugs can have drastically different lifespans, depending on the brand, quality, and material they're made out of, as well as the operating conditions of your car's engine. When you bring your Mercedes into Angelo's for a check-up or repair, we'll make sure that your spark plugs are clean and operating correctly, and let you know when they're due to be changed. Typically, we replace spark plugs every 40,000 to 60,000 miles. Mercedes Fuel Filter Replacement The fuel filter is what makes sure that the gas flowing through your engine is clean and free of contaminants that can clog fuel injectors or create other problems. It's a waste to spend four dollars a gallon putting premium grade gas in your car if the fuel filter is filthy and past due to be replaced. Typically, fuel filters should be replaced every 60,000 miles, but this can vary. We can tell you if your fuel filter is clean and working correctly, and when it should be changed out.

  • Mini Cooper Service in Folsom

Mini Cooper Scheduled Service and Maintenance Your Mini Cooper will remind you when it's time to bring it in for a scheduled service checkup. It's not worth trying to save a couple hundred dollars, only to spend several thousand down the road due to insufficient maintenance. Following your Mini Cooper's official maintenance program is the best way to ensure it's still operating ten years from now just like it was when you drove it off the lot. Every Mini Cooper has service needs that can vary by year and model, so come visit our shop to have your vehicle inspected by our expert technicians. Below is a very generalized guideline of a service schedule, but feel free to give us a call for a service schedule specific to your vehicle.Angelo's Performance Plus always uses OEM original equipment. Call us today to discuss your MINI service needs. Mini Cooper Oil Change and Oil Filter Service Mini Cooper oil changes-using a high quality synthetic oil-are part of the service schedule every 7,000 to 7,500 miles. Older Mini Coopers can vary when it comes to their oil change needs, so consult with Angelo's to find out what's best for your Mini.As is the case with any vehicle, oil filters should always be replaced with the oil. You'll want to use a high quality oil filter, such as brand name filters marketed by Mini Cooper, or the original equipment. Mini Cooper Air Filter Service Automobile enthusiasts of all sorts tend to have pretty strong opinions about the best type of air filter. Generally, and as is the case with Mini Coopers, there are two kinds-the typical paper air filter, and oiled-fabric filters, such as those made by K&N. The purpose of either is to prevent debris from contaminating the workings of your engine, and related systems under the hood (or should we say bonnet?). Some contend that oiled-air filters can lead to debris winding up in the engine, while others feel that paper filters have insufficient airflow.Either way, replacing air filter based, or cleaning your K&N filter on time or mileage, is of great importance to the performance of your Mini Cooper. Mini Cooper Brake Service and Brake Fluid Replacement You should have your brake fluid checked at least every other year, bare minimum, if not every year. The reason for this is that brake fluid is hygroscopic. That means that it absorbs any water that it comes in contact with, whether that's moisture from the air or water kicked up from the road. This is a problem for two reasons. First, as the ratio of water to brake fluid rises, the boiling point of the Mini Cooper brake fluid drops. Braking produces a great deal of heat due to friction. If the boiling temperature of old brake fluid drops below the temperature of the heat produced by your brakes, then the fluid will boil and produce water vapor, filling the brake lines. This will lead to very "mushy" feeling brakes, and your ability to stop your car will be severely compromised. This can lead to accidents, and it has occurred many times in the past. Fresh brake fluid will always work reliably. The other problem with moisture absorption is that the moisture will contaminate your Mini Cooper brake system, causing corrosion and rusting of metal parts, and will prematurely age and crack rubber hoses. It's a lot cheaper to change out brake fluid than it is to change out brake parts.
